Edie's Gallery
Welcome to the heart of Edie's website! To start viewing the paintings, click: "Go!" in the upper right corner to display the first image. Then click: "Next" to move on to the next painting or click: "Previous" to move back to the previous one. The images are presented chronologically, beginning with the most recent paintings. Once all the images have been viewed, the gallery loops back to the first image to start over again. To return to this main gallery page at any time, click the Gallery link in the navigation menu bar located on the upper right portion of the page header. To start off viewing a specific painting, select its link directly from the table below. Although the gallery presents the paintings sequentially in reverse chronological order, the table below lists them in alphabetical order, by name. (Note: If you have a slow dial up connection it may take a while for the first image to appear - see viewing recommendations below.)

Recommendations on how to best view the paintings
Slow loading? These high resolution images are fairly large (up to 100 Kilobytes each) and can take quite a while to download if you are using a slow dial up connection (anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds for each image). However, this is not really a problem - the gallery is designed so that as you view each image, the next image is automatically pre-loaded in the background. Thus, if you take your time and spend at least 20 seconds viewing each image, there will be virtually no delay when you click on the next button. Voila, C'est Bon!
Full screen mode? We highly recommend viewing the images with your browser set to: full-screen mode. If you are using a PC, then simply press the F11 key on your keyboard to toggle full-screen mode on and off (this works for Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera). If you are on a Macintosh and running Safari, you are out of luck - Safari does not yet have a full screen mode. Regardless of what computer you have, we strongly encourage you to download and install the Opera browser to view Edie's work. The Opera browser is completely free and runs on all Mac and PC computers and all operating systems (OS-X, Windows and Linux). We recommend Opera because it has a very nice full screen mode which allows you to easily zoom in and out to adjust the image size to best fit your screen (press the + and - keys on the keyboard's numeric keypad to zoom in and out). Installing Opera is very easy: go to http://www.opera.com/download/ and follow the simple instructions. Opera is also very fast, reliable, easy to use and is standards compliant.
Opera browser viewing instructions:
- Run Opera, load www.edieroberson.com
- Navigate to the gallery page and display any painting
- Click Opera's menu and select the: option to set full screen mode
- Press the + and - keys on the numeric keypad to zoom in and out
- Press the * key on the numeric keypad to restore normal default zoom
- When finished, press the ESC key to exit full screen mode
- Enjoy!
